Issues For Discussion

There was a general consensus that all members need to contribute to discussing a number of issues that arose during the Summit, such as

 •      How does the Movement understand the term “mental health”? For example, should this include neurological disorders which are just as neglected and stigmatised in most parts of the world?

 •   How should the organisation be structured? For example, should there be a revolving Secretariat hosted by one of the Movement’s institutional partners?

 •   How can we reach our membership targets and set new goals?

 •   How will the members of the Movement meet and communicate? For example, how often should we host Summits and how should these be organised?

 •   How can we involve the press? For example, should we have a media network?

 •   How can we revamp the website, especially to make it less ‘academic’ and more accessible to a global community with more languages?

 •   What do website users and members think of our logo? For example, is the colour blue inappropriate?

Please join us in discussing these issues as the Movement grows! Would you like to moderate one of these discussions?
