The Lancet has announced a new series on Global Mental Health to be published in 2011. The aim of the new series is to fill the gaps in the landmark series published in 2007 and to track progress in closing the treatment gap and protecting the human rights of persons with mental disorders in low resource settings. The Lancet will coordinate the development of the new Series in partnership with the Movement for Global Mental Health. |
We had invited ideas for themes or papers from members of the Movement in October 2009. Thank you very much to all of you for your submissions in response to this invitation. The deadline for submissions is now passed and we will now review and discuss all of the suggestions, collate our results and send the recommendations for consideration by the Editors of the Lancet. We will post updates of this process as we progress with this initiative. Please feel free to contact us (LancetGMH2011@globalmentalhealth.org) if you have any questions or comments and we will do our best to respond in a timely manner.
Thank you again.
