Policies, Plans And Laws

A country is unlikely to make significant progress towards scaling up services for people with mental disorders in the absence of appropriate mental health policies, plans and legislation. Such instruments can provide a basis for future action, designate roles and responsibilities, facilitate agreements for action among different stakeholders, increase the priority allocated to mental health and protect the human rights of people suffering from mental disorders. Examples of mental health policies, plans and legislation are available below. If you would like to submit a mental health policy, plan or law, please do so using the Submit Policy, Plan or Law Form. Policies, plans and laws that have been submitted are available here.
